Creative Bloom in Middlesbrough

The creative industry is a growing part of the town’s economy. There is a host of talent working within the sector and we think it’s about time we came together to learn, share and meet.  To do this, Creative Bloom was born.

Through a series of free, inspiring events Creative Bloom has brought together entrepreneurs and businesses from the creative sector.  Supported by Middlesbrough Council it’s open to all creative businesses that reside or do business in Middlesbrough.   So if you are a creative studio, marketing or PR agency, web designer, animation company, event organiser, media owner, photographer or hold a creative role within an organisation then come and join in.

Creative Bloom wants to help companies work together for the greater good, promote idea sharing and support Middlesbrough business collaboration.  Together we believe we can be a stronger voice and shout about the wealth of creative talent in the town, allowing us all to bloom further.  Membership is free so you have nothing to loose and everything to gain.

Previous Events have included:

Carl Hopkins | Secret Mediocre to Secret Millionaire

Carl started out in the world of marketing in 1984 as a junior designer. However, the financial crisis of the  early 90s saw Carl’s employers lose their management, leaving a gap for him to step up and fill.  In 2000, he  bought the company. After raising the agency’s turnover by £10 million and tripling profits, Carl finally sold JDA  in 2007 to concentrate on other projects.

Well established as a tough-talking, no-nonsense mentor and investor, Carl is involved in JumbleAID, an eco- friendly and socially conscious bidding site, and agencybods.co.uk, a bold new talent-finding site.

He has also established kloog, a business development service where he shares his experiences and insights  with other companies. Carl has also appeared on The Secret Millionaire.
