Middlesbrough Council spends over £120 million each year buying goods, products and services. We are keen for small and medium sized businesses to become part of the supply chain but understand it can be difficult to know where to start. As a result we are running a second series of free workshops to help you understand the procurement process and prepare your business for successful tendering.

The ability to write a winning tender is important but how do you do it? This practical workshop looks at how to produce bids that meet the requirements, are clear to read and deliver key messages to set you apart from the competition.

Training Objectives
This workshop will help participants to:
• Know when to bid or not to bid
• Understand the main elements of a strong bid
• Prepare high quality tenders (both in structure and style)
• Understand how QA is relevant to tendering and what they may need to do improve their chances of success
• Be able to demonstrate they can assure clients of quality

Audience
This workshop is targeted at people who are involved in, or responsible for bidding for contracts, and who want to increase their chances of being successful.

Workshop Outline
An overview of the principles of good bid writing with discussion and questions around preparation and planning, style and structure and how to deliver key messages including quality assurance. Attendees will receive a handout summarising the main points from the workshop.
